Jökulsárlón, Iceland

Greetings from Iceland.  I wanted to quickly share with you the sunset from a couple of nights ago at this famous lagoon!

My traveling partners and I (Brian Matiash and Colby Brown) have been in Iceland for about 3 days now, and a fun adventure-filled three days it has been!  After an extremely windy and snowy first day, the weather has died down enough for us to; photograph the famous black sand beach which is littered with chunks of ancient ice,  hike into a couple of amazing ice caves at the base of the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier, and enjoy this wonderful sunset over the glacier lagoon.

For this leg of our winter adventure, we are basing ourselves out of a wonderful little hotel at Smyrlabjorg, which is only a short 15 minutes from the lagoon.  The rooms are nice, the food is good, and we even have WiFi!!

Going to wrap this up for now, as I need to prepare for tonights photo-taking fun… a strong solar storm has the Aurora forecast showing a great possibility for a wonderful show, so we will be out most of the night chasing the light.
